Angry Hit brick wall at 3 months!! PLATEAU!!!!

I am 3 months out (as of Monday the 19th) and am on a huge plateau!!! I have lost 1 pound only in last 3 weeks!!!!!
It is soooo frusterating. I feel like I am done losing weight and that is it for me!

Has anyone else hit a plateau this early on????

YES! I was so frustrated, and I was not easy to live with! I couldn't understand how the heck I could be following all the rules and exercising and lot loosing a pound. But have no fear you will start loosing again. First check inches. Even though I wasn't loosing pounds I did loose inches, and then after a couple weeks I bounced back and I was loosing like about 4-5lbs a week. Don't stress, you will be back on the loosing streak soon!

No surgery for me yet, but from what I have read is that just because he scale doesn't move, it doesn't mean the inches aren't coming off. There may be other blessings that you aren't seeing because you are looking for the scale to move. Have you been able to bend over to tie your shoes in the middle? Fit into a pair of pants you haven't been able to in awhile? Fit the towel aroundyou after the shower? These are also blessings we are given along our path...

Absolutely............month 1, 24lbs lost, WOO HOO........month 2, 20lbs lost, YEE HAW............month 3, 7lbs lost, HEY< WAHT HAPPENED? I lost though, 1 1/4inch in waist, 2 1/2inch in bust, 1 1/4inch in abdomen, 2 1/2 each thigh, 1 each arm. My body fat went from 40% to 37.9% in just 7 lbs. I was packing on muscle and losing inches!! Now it's moving a little again, but probably a lb or 2 a week. Evaluate your food and beverages........if you are doing ok there, then relax......it's coming off!

Lisa I plateaued as early as one month out. I didn't ven lose a pound during my plateau. It was totally fustrating. I even got a little depressed but don"t give in to those old feelings you would have once a diet started to fail, remember this is different. Everyone goes through this and it will pick up again. Its nothing you are doing wrong. Keep getting in all you protein and water. Keep working that tool and it will work for you.

I feel the same way when I don't lose any weight in a week. We get almost addicted to seeing the scale move .. so when it doesn't you can get frustrated. Don't let it get ya down. (I know .. easier said than done) I plateau like one week a month. Then it moves again and I'm like "YaY! Im not done yet!"

It is aggravating as hell, but it happens. Stay off the scale for a couple of weeks. The loss will start again. I know how you feel because I have been there more than once!

Default Oh my goodness!

If my math is correct, you lost more than 45 pounds your first two months - I think that is above average but if it isn't, it is darn impressive. That must be a huge change for your body. Maybe it just needs some time to re-arrange and sort of settle in. I am sure you're building muscle and "leaning" out, even if the scale isn't moving. I mean, look at what your eating - it doesn't make sense that "nothing" is happening - the changes are just happening differently I bet.

I am sorry you are frustrated, I know it will happen to me too, but from this side, it looks really good! I hope I have the success you have!

Hang in there - it is happening!

Best of luck!

I hit a Plateau at 4 months for 2 weeks. I am at another one at 7 months, going on 3 weeks. I lose 3 pounds gain it back, lose 2 gain 1.5. It sucks. Just use it to your advantage and hit the gym harder so when the plateau breaks, you shoot down quicker. Good luck.
