Jenni if you mean in reference to having surgery, I waited 7 and a half years. Sometime the wait is long but well worth it. When the time is right it will happen. I know it might be hard to understand that standing where you are standing now in your Journey but it will happen. Stay positive and focused.

I had to wait almost a year and I know a lot of people who waited a long time. It is so worth every waiting month. Hand in there...February is just around the corner.

I started the process in January 2003 and had my surgery 11-25-03. They tried to reschedule me for Jan. 04 but I fought it and got my date. I was originally scheduled for 11-24-03 but got bumped so Bonnie Dumanis could have hers that day.

Smile My Timeline

I had a relatively short wait compared to some. Here is what my timeline looked like:

PCP referred me to Dr. C the end of June
Info meeting & psyc eval in August
Initial Consult in September
Tests, tests and more test September & October
In dictation 10/28/05
Submitted to insurance 11/14/05
Received authorization letter from insurance 11/22/05
Surgery date scheduled for 01/04/05!

I know the wait seems like forever but you will finally get there. Hope this was helpful.

Jenni:

Other people have said this and I agree, please believe that your time will come when it's supposed to come. Sometimes we don't understand the delays, but I personally believe there's a good reason for everything. Karma, my dear, karma!

Try to relax and know that your time will definitely come!
