Default Did my psych eval today

I had my psych eval today and I'm a little worried. It asked an awful lot of questions regarding depression and I answered them honestly, because I am depressed, but now I'm worried that I should have lied because I might fail it for being depressed!!

What do u think about this, should it be a problem?

Amy

Amy there might be a problem. The truth will set you free though Amy. If they conclude that you are depressed they might want to put you on some sort of depression medication and have you come to a couple of session before agreeing to write you an approval letter. Eitherway I hope it all works out. Having surgery isn't going to get rid of your depression. How long do you have to wait to hear something back?

Arrow Honesty is the Best Policy

Amy:

I agree with Denise. You really must be honest. You don't want to go into this surgery without being totally honest with them and yourself. It's a huge deal. You want to give yourself the best possible chance for a smooth surgery and recovery. If you're having depression problems, you may need to step back for a little while and address those before going on. There's a very good chance, too, that your honesty will not affect the outcome at all.

I am a firm believer that it will happen when it's supposed to happen. You should do what's best for YOU. Check out my signature quote. "Don't sacrifice what you want most, for what you want now."

It will happen in its own time. Best of luck to you.
