Consultation appointment - what should I expect? - ThinnerTimes

I have my initial consultation appointment with my Dr. in 2 weeks and I was wondering what to expect from it. I know that my insurance requires that I see a psychiatrist and a dietician before surgery but I was wondering what to actually expect.

Well, I got weighed and they measured my height and blood pressure. From that they calculated my BMI then they gave me a binder with a bunch of information regarding the surgery and also a paper with all the tests I need to get done and submit to them. They also gave me a short quiz to see what I remembered from the seminar. The questions I got incorrect were briefly explained to me. You also talk to someone about the financial aspect of the surgery except, I didn't get to do that because the person in charge was out. Other than that, there was nothing to it and I was out of the doctor's office quick. Hope all goes well with yours.

Thanks Elisa. I read some success stories on my surgeon and he seems to have a pretty fast turn over rate, I know that my insurance has a 72 hour window to make a decision so hopefull 6 weeks from now I'll be getting my bypass!
