I am trying to find some literature I can give to my wonderful hubby to take with him while he's deployed to Afghanistan next year. He will be gone for all of the changes to my body & mind and I want to try to prepare him as best I can for what he will be coming home to. However, this is hard to do since I'm still pre-op. (duh!)

Other than Carnie Wilson, are there any other "personal story" type books that are worth the $$? Any help greatly appreciated!

Send him here to read as much as he can. I didn't read too many books myself....I did a lot of internet searches and medical journals. The last time I was at Barnes and Noble, there were several WLS books, even one for Dummies. You can thumb through those and see if they are to your liking.
