Lightbulb I'm in dictation!!

Hello all.

I went to dictation yesterday. Does anyone know how long it takes for dictation and approve from Pacificare? I'm completing my last pre-op seminar tomorrow night.

Thanks!

Question

I have a ?...What is dictation? I mean is it where a dictation dept is getting documents ready for the Dr. to sign off on so it can be submitted to the ins? I keep seeing that word and I have never heard any of my Dr.'s patients mention it?

Yes, that's exactly right. The surgeon dictates a history & physical, then submits it to the insurance for approval.

Here is some good nes about PCare. I left Dr. Muellers office @ 2:00 and when I arrived @ work at 2:50 there was already a message from his office stating that PCare had approved the surgery. Grats sweety, and good luck!

Thanks for all of your support. I'm starting to get scared. Of the unknown that is. I'll be able to ask more questions tomorrow night.
