Red face

Ang,

Take a deep breath in and exhale. If he is not there for you after 5 years for a major surgery, then it probably has been over for a while. Forget about him and think about you. My little catipillar is about to become a beautiful butterfly. Not just on the outside, but you will grow emotionally because of all of this.
You are so young....AAHHHHH to be 26 again. For me 27 was the perfect age and you will be in your prime. Be selfish right now. You need this for yourself.
It is so hard for us. I don't know if being MO gives you the personality type of being the helper and support for everyone else. Maybe because you think you are not worthy of the support unless you nurture everyone so a little comes our way. He probably would not have been much help and would be a source of energy drain if he stuck around.
It does suck and you probably feel like the rug has just been pulled out from under you. Stay close to us and we will reassure you.
You are going to be great and you will strut your stuff soon enough!!!

Arrow WLS and Relationships

Ang:

WLS can have a dramatic effect on relationships. I believe that if your relationship is solid, WLS fortifies it. If your relationship is shaky, it shakes it up even more.

It sounds like your former boyfriend likes obese women. If that is his priority, then it's best for you that he moved on now. You're at a different place right now. You're trying to improve your life and health.

Please try to think of your relationship dissolution as a blessing. You may not understand it now, but later, down the road, it may make total sense to you.

As the others have said, concentrate on yourself. You're doing this for yourself. It's not a bad thing to put yourself first sometimes. It's not selfishness, it's self-love. Big difference.

Best of wishes in your journey for self-love.
