I was originally going to only take off two weeks. I had my surgery on a Monday and was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, so there is the first week. I ended up back in the emergency room on Sunday due to my amount of pain and I did have it laporoscoply. I am supposed to go back to work this Monday but I called the doctor I work for and he said I was crazy and to take at least another week, so I am.
I am not saying a week will be just perfect for you, I am just saying to be prepared. Like someone has already suggested disability will give you something, if it is in your state.
You also cant afford to not take care of yourself when you need it.
