Question Multi-vitamin, Iron & Sublingual B-12

My question is what is the best Multi-vitamin to take and of course where to buy it?
Also where should I buy sublingual B-12? And how much Iron are you supposed to take?
I’ve check several multi-vitamins and they don’t even have Iron as an ingredient.
Thanks for any help.

Question Wal-Mart: WLS Friendly?

Can I find things like chewable calcium citrate and B12 at Wal-Mart? Also, can any post-op men recommend a good multi-vitamin?

3 days to go!

I'm off to do some house cleaning!

My doctor. Dr Potts told me not to use the Chewable Calciums. I am not sure why but he said no no.

What he did say was to take Liquid Calcium. It is not really a liquid it is a pill but it is called liquid calcium. I found it at walmat and vitamin world or something like that.

The b-12 is everywhere, walmart, drug stores, GNC and vitamin world, stuff like that. I can't find chewable calcium citrate ANYWHERE except online. They told me to absolutely NOT take calcium carbonate, which is what you can find easily.

Trader Joes has a good B-12 that is sublingual.

I remember the Bugs Bunny chewable Vitamins in the beginning. I switched to the liquid vitamins after Bugs Bunny and then switched to a Henry's Brand multi-vitamin pill.

Yeah, I was wondering about the vitamins. I've talked to a lot of post-op patients who've said that Flinstone-type vitamins work well.

I'll look into the liquid cal-citrate.

Thanks!

At a recent weight loss support group we had a speaker come in and talk about vitamins. She said that you should take 1200mg of calcium a day (that includes what you get in food products). Therefore I will be taking 2 of her "chewable" calcium tablets (400mg each, one in morning one at night). What you are really supposed to do is suck on them until they are gone (she handed out little samples and this is what the package said). They come in different flavors.

Also, you should take 18mg of Iron a day (post menopausal women should take 29mg). Make sure you take the iron and the calcium at least an hour apart because if you take them together they cancel each other out. This comes in a strawberry flavor that was pretty good...didn't have too bad of a irony taste.

Regarding the multi-vitamin, I will be taking this companies also...the speaker said to take two a day and they are chewable. They also come in different flavors.

This company also sells the sublingual B-12 that I will be taking once a week. This companies website is called bariatricadvantage.com.

Hope that helps!
