Consult with Kelly - ThinnerTimes

I had my consult with Kelly on friday. I really liked her no nonsense approach.
She laid everything out for me and what I really liked was the fact that she told me that Dr. C won't do the surgery without spousal consent. My wife is supporting me 100% and its good to see a practice that isn't in it "just for the money"!

I still have a few hoops to jump through, EKG, Gall bladder ultrasound, and some more lab work. But I hope to get all that taken care of in the next couple of weeks. Still, Kelly says scheduling is into next year now.

I am probably going to have an open procedure, even though I am somewhat concerned about incisional hernias. Does anyone know if strengthening your abdominal muscles reduces the possibility of incisional hernias?
I figure I got a couple of months to tone up and I might as well get started. I have been exsercising, but I haven't been doing anything for my stomach.

Well John congrats on making that one step closer to becoming a loser. I am also pleased to know you were treated well by the staff, I hope all continues to stay that way. Next year will be here in no time. At least you will get to enjoy the holidays one last time before the main event.
