Default Insurance Question

MY QUESTION IS DR CALLERY'S OFFICE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD TAKE 3-4 WEEKS FOR MY INSURANCE TO GET BACK TO THEM WITH AN APPROVAL.. BUT I HAVE HEARD THAT IT IS SHORTER THAN THAT DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE U HAVE I HAVE BLUE CROSS OF CALIFORNIA 100 PERCENT.
(I HAVE SPOKEN TO ONE OF THE REPS. FROM MY INSURANCE AND SAY THAT I SHOULD BE APPROVED AS LONG AS THE MEDICAL GROUP RECOMMENDS IT AND OF COURSE THEY DID SO HOPEFULLY I GET A QUICK APPROVAL)?!?!?
I AM SO NERVOUS I GUESS BECAUSE I AM CLOSER TO GET THE BIG DATE..
SO I HAVE LOTS OF QUESTIONS...

Don't sweat it! You'll be approved in no time flat... And even if it did take 4 weeks... that's not that long at all.... but I doubt it will be.

Yes it can be shorter. I found out directly from the insurance carrier in about 10 days. You can follow up with your own carrier rather than Dr C's office to find out exactly what the staus of the request is and to find out the reference # aka cert # of your surgical request.

It took my insurance company (Health Net/SRS) about a week to approve the surgery.
