Ang big congrats on the 2 months free of non-smoking. My fiance stopped smoking 3 days after we got together and I know it was so hard for him. If you can stop smoking you can do anything. Pat your self on the back. Keep up the good work.

I'm proud of you. I have a friend who wants the surgery and is gonna try to figure out a way, but when it's all said and done I'm afraid she isn't going to quit smoking. I know it's tough. Don't stress about the surgery, focus on all the rules for right after. My biggest tip.........if you feel badly after surgery, just know that you improve really so quickly. Just know that none of the pain or diorientation lasts too long. I had mine on Wed, was still out of it on Thurs...........went home Fri and never even took pain meds. I drove already yesterday and feel some mild discomfort, nothing I call pain. So, don't worry, because it passes so quickly and you start feeling healthier.

Congrats on quitting smoking Angela .. that is wayyyyy hard. But it will definately make things easier for you in the long run. I smoked for 20 years and its just amazing how much stress is relieved when ya aren't thinking about yer next ciggy all the time!

Yer gonna be fabulous

I am 2 months out and I have not had any complications. I don't throw up, I don't dump, I have no pain, I have no aliens!! Everything I eat seems to agree with me, although I watch it and don't eat sugar yet. Today was the first time I ate tuna and mayo and it seemed alright. My incisions have healed very nicely.
I got out of the hosp. on sunday and drove myself to my first post op on thursday.
I know I shouldn't say this, but it kinda makes me nervous for everything to go so will. My pouch does tell me when it is full and sometimes I fond it hard to find something that sounds good to eat.
