Smile Dictation

Daisy..

When I had my surgery they did not have the online process of checking your status. So I couldn't help you then. I know the day they sent me off to Insurance they called and let me know. Two days later they called and my pre-op was scheduled the very next day!!! So it does go fast.. take this time to learn as much as you can about the surgery and all you will go through.. then also ask away at any and all questions you may have.. read old posts that people had and learn from them as well.. become as well informed as you can. I hear the dictation process is about 2-4 weeks now. I don't know for sure though.. just what I heard..

Good luck.. make September your goal month and if you have surgery in August you'd be thrilled!!! Just a suggestion though.

Daisy,
I'm thinking they are doing pretty good on the dictation. Mine said I went into dictation on 7/14 and they were done and getting ready to submit to insurance on 7/23. Now I am in the waiting game with the insurance. Hang in there!

Default I'm in dictation finally!!!!

Okay, took 3 weeks for my mammo to be read, another 3 days to get it from my primary doctor's office over to Dr. Callery's office and received in. But I am in dictation!!! Now if that goes fast and it gets off to insurance, MAYBE I can get this done before switching insurance on Sept 1. I am not holding my breath though!

Default Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you for all your help, I will take my time and really get to know who I am inside. I know "MY DAY" will come soon, I just get a little antsy when it comes to the knife. Just kind of want to get over with before I chicken out! I have read just about every post and have done a ton of reseach on the net so I know the logistics of what I am getting into but still a little scared of what might happen. I will tell you this knowing that all of you have gone through it has been a huge help! THANKS

I was called the day they sent it to my insurance, and then 5 days later they called me to tell me I was approved. It all comes down to your insurance and how quickly they work on it. I bet bridgetgirl is right no later than 4 weeks.

Smile Tuesday's Pre-Op Meeting

Daisy,

If you haven't been to a pre-op support group yet, you may want to keep Tuesday the 3rd (Next Tuesday) reserved for that. You can't have surgery until you have been.. and besides we'll all be there and I am bringing my surplus of creamed soups, broths, and some other stuff for pre-ops I am sure some of the other post-ops would like to rid their cupboards as well right guys?? Lets donate!!!
