I only have 21 days left and I start all those test in the morning heck some days I'm back to back with times scheduled at two different doctors. I believe the doctor is going to put a filter in before surgery to cut out the chance of blood clots.

Is there anything I need to be doing in the last few days before surgery?

I have a filter too. No big deal really. The idea of it freaked me out really bad at first but you never know it is there. The worst part of getting it put in is you have to stay at the hospital for about 4 hours after and you have to lay down all that time. Before my surgery I got my house good and clean, got things at work straightened out, got my bag packed, took care of all the bills, got groceries and things I needed (household stuff, etc) so I didn't need to shop right away.
