Awaiting Ins. Approval - ThinnerTimes

I am waiting the dreadful wait for insurance approval. When I was meeting with the doctor, he said I had to do a stress test and lose 20 pounds prior to surgery. He never mentioned anything about a Psych Evaluation. I always thought they were routine......I guess my insurance company may require it. Anyway......waiting sucks. I am not so worried about my insurance approving me as I am about getting financing for the surgery. My insurance only pays 50% and I don't know what I will do if I can't get approved by CareCredit (patient financing organization.) Life really sucks right now. I am supposed to lose 20 pounds and I have managed to gain 6+ in the past week from stress. Sorry, don't mean to whine!

I was told to lose 10 pounds before surgery. I got to 9 and I haven't weighed myself since my last appointment with the nutritionist. I'm sure I've gained it back and then some. I hate myself! I want to do a liquid diet before the surgery, or that is before the pre-op date (which hasn't been set yet cuz I don't have insurance approval yet). The waiting game really does suck! Sorry about your situation too. Can't you just make payments??? Hang in there!

I'm waiting too. They told me it would be up to 30 days to hear back from the insurance company. It's only been 11

I've already had my psych evaluation. It was not a big deal, passed that with flying colors.

Met witha nutionist to start the 12 month required diet for the insurance company but after 5 weeks on 1600 calories a day I actually gained 3 pounds

Nutitionish wrote a letter to insurance saying the 12 months diet was contraindicated in my case due to my many comorbid conditi09ons and asked that they approve without.

So now I wait and wait

And boy do I hate to wait.
