Question Anyone familiar with Dr. Koley - Psychiatric Centers of San Diego?

I am seeing Dr. Koley tomorrow for consult. They say he specializes in gastric bypass patients. Anyone ever see him?

Is this for your psych eval? I saw Dr. Mcfadden with PCSD. They are all pretty good docs... if he specializes in GB then you should be fine. Good luck Suzy

Its funny how you walk into the office and you know why you are there but people are looking at you like your weird or have a problem....I started talking to myself in the waiting room just for the fun of it I know it was wrong but if people were going to stare at the fat girl with problems I was gonna give them something to stare at.....I was so nervous when I went into the docs office I kept thinking I was going to say the wrong thing and he wass going to think I was crazy and deny me or something, he asked me one main question which I have heard he asks everyone "Why do you want to have this surgery done?" Anyways good luck at your appointment.

I have never been to a therapist or anything so this is making me nervous. I am quite sure it will be fine, however, there are a few posts on here that make me wonder! I just don't want some quack telling me it all my parents fault...or....what was so bad in my childhood.....blah blah blah......I don't have an answer for that. I am fat, because I made wrong choices. But anyway....I am rambling because I am nervous! I'll go, get it done, come out fine and wonder why I was nervous in the first place. Thanks for your support.

Question 2bhealthy...

Its really not bad at all you pretty much fill out a questionnaire with a bunch of different questions like the one I stated and well he just looks at the sheet and asks you the same questions I dont know if its a memory game or what but I swear they were the same questions I had just answered on the sheet that he had in front of him, I saw a Dr. through PCSD it was in Escondido but I for the life of me cant remember the name of the doctor this doctor was right next to the Graybill Medical Center 2bhealthy is this the same one you are going to I noticed you were in North county. I used to live up here in Escondido but moved now I just work up here.

Thanks Linda!

Felicia, I am going to Dr. Zimmer, she's in private practice in Escondido. They were going to send me to PCSD in San Marcos but an aquaintence of mine is a psychologist there, so I said uhhh.. somewhere else please.

I saw Dr. James Adams of Psyc Care in Vista...He was really nice and it was a nice 45 minute talk...I was expecting it to be scary and uncomfortable but it went really well...He told me he thought I was an excellent canidate and promised to get my letter out in the mail that day!
