There's one more thing you and I have in common. I had neuromas in my left foot and have had surgery. At times my foot still hurts but it's getting better. Just one more thing you and I have in common.

Holly~I'm glad your mom has a date. I have arthritis in my neck and knees. I have been given a medicine called "Flexeril". You may want to let your mom check with the doc's to make sure she's getting what she needs for her pain.

That is great news. Tell your Mom we all said congrats on getting her date! My surgeon has no aspirin/Ibuprofen type products from a week prior to surgery on. I'm sure they have other meds they can use to help her out. Let's hope a lot of her pain gets relieved with the weight loss. That's so cool you guys are doing this together. I have a good friend going for the surgery a week before me, she's even coming to my house to recoop.

I have all the same things you mom has. I am still on ALL of my same medication just less of them. This is per Dr. Potts. So I your mom will need to talk to her doctor.

Have her talk to all her doctors and find out what the best is for her.

If she take Methetrexate she may need to switch to the liquid injectable version of it. I had to switch because I didn't want that nasty chemo drug in my stomach. It is really hard to get the liguid version. I have to get it a compound pharmancy that make is for me.

Other than that my meds are the same including my anti inflamatories. but talk to the doc.

So happy for you both! This surgery should be considered a miracle for all of the great things that come from it. Thoughts and prayers headed your way!
