Question Nervous

My surgery date next week and some days I am pumped and ready to go, other days I wonder if I am doing the right thing. Does everyone go through this?

Ditto! We all go through some back and forth. It's normal. I'm not quite a month out and still waffle a bit on it! Overall, though, I'm very happy with my decision!

My surgery is Wednesday November 9 and I feel the same way you do/did! And I get nauseaous(sp) whenever I think about it! And it doesn't help that I have people telling me "You're doing so good losing the weight...I don't think you need the surgery". UGH. I'm having the surgery to KEEP the weight OFF. I know I can lose it but it always comes back!

However I KNOW I am going to go through with it cause I haven't come this far for nothing!

it is only normal to feel this way... everything will b ok. To get the surgery done we go thru a long process... u cant back down now! at the end u will see it was the right thing to do for your health and u will wonder why u didnt have it sooner!
good luck to everyone!

I think almost EVERYONE!
You are totally normal to feel this way!
I think the fact that it is a major surgery that is elective and life changing has you second guessing your decision and excited about the unknown future.
Personally I was not excited, I felt more resigned to it. I mean in reality who wants to re route your innards? For me it was a no-brainer though as my obesity has stolen enough of my life away. Time to start living again.
In my opinion, this is the only way to go for obese people, I have experienced a life time of dieting, doctors and nutritionists, and can tell you, no doctor out there knows how to concur obesity through a diet program. They just do not work long term.
Congrats on your decision and welcome to the club!
