Started 10-day pre-op diet today and I could eat my own hand!
Wow. This is a big change... I sure I will get used to it in a few days, but I could eat a small horse right now. Anyone else enjoying this special moment with me?

Yes, but (shhhhhh!) I'm refusing to acknowledge it. I'm three days in.

You lightweights!
I've been on a liquid diet for 14 days now (canceled surgery on 14, now on 21) and it SUCKS!
Screw the small horse; give me a stallion! You better be passing the ketchup right now! *mmm...lovely grilled horse. I could go for some chicken now*
*JOKE*

Wah, I want to be starting my ten day diet...
If anyone is hungry enough to eat lard--I can donate my ass for the cause. Tastes like chicken! (but looks like cottage cheese!)

Well, that was just too funny not to acknowledge your contribution. A sense of humour is so important. Good luck all with the pre-op! I promise - it does get easier.

Actually
Unless I'm driving by all these food places, I have no appetite to eat what so ever. I don't completly know why, and I'm forcing myself to eat but I just am not even hungry-- part of me hopes it stays this way for a while.
Anyone else?

I dreamt last night that as well as the gastric bypass the doctor hynotised me so that I was never ever hungry again. He then programmed my brain for 3 meals and 2 snacks a day at certain times so that I would eat even without the hunger. Do you think........Nah it couldn't be!
