Okay, I met with my surgeon today and he said that I can get in for surgery before Halloween provided (1)my insurance doesn't dick me around and (2) I lose 20 pounds prior. When he was reviewing my surgucal history, he said I had a 95% chance of having the surgery laproscopicly, but didn't give me a definite answer. That worries me! I have had 2 C-Sections, and he said there was concern for adhesions. Has anyone else had a c-section(s) and then had their surgery done laparoscopicly? I am terrified that my insurance company is going to cause me large amounts of stress. I have a feeling they are going to require a medically supervised weightloss program for six months. I guess if they do that then I am going to spread out the 20 pounds my surgeon wants me to lose over the six months. I still have to see my PCP and I pray she will be supportive and maybe help speed things along. Anyway.....I am so excited and scared at the same time. Doc even told me that with the surgery I would most likely be able to stop taking my Synthroid for Hypothyroidism within six months. That is a HUGE bonus as I thought I was going to be on it for life.
