You're on the list! My recommendation as far as the hospital gown is to use the gown they give you, but ask for 2, then wear one open in the back and one open in the front like a robe..then you don't need to worry about getting hospital ick on your own nice sleepwear...plus it has openings for any tubes or access they need to your body. Take something really loose to wear home, and a small pillow to hold over your tummy when you go over bumps, train tracks or something...

I thought it was easiest to just wear the hospital gown. You'll have to wear that going into surgery, anyway. Then, once you're in your room, you could change into your own stuff if you want. But just wearing the hospital gown is easier. You might have a foley catheter in for a little while, so pajamas would get in the way. You'd want a gown. And you'll have an IV, and maybe a drain, so changing clothes might be awkward or difficult.

Wow, our numbers are growing strong. For a while, it looked like October would be an off month!

I am new to the website and I am scheduled to have Bypass on October 12th. I am anxious to be surrounded by people who understand my struggles and who share similar goals.
