I didn't realize pre-op was such a long ordeal. I was gone all day! Did get a lot of questions answered though and now can take the thyroid meds again.
Here's my story of the day...
I'm standing in front of the admitting desk and she's asked me to review my info. I notice that there is an error in the name of my school district. For the life of me I can't remember what the full name of the district is...thinking..thinking...I know the acronym....just can't remember.... needless to say, 4 days of no thyroid meds has taken it's toll on my body and brain. Doc also noticed I gained 2 pounds in the last two weeks....again thryoid meds, before today I had actually started losing a few pounds. When I explained about the meds, he said I should have never been taken off and should be fine to continue all the way through surgery. I learned a good lesson about double checking things that don't seem right.

Oh yeah, the word I couldn't remember.....Elementary! Duh, I did remember a few minutes later, but I really thought I was losing it!
Getting more excited now...
