I am considering doing the intense 3 month diet where i go to cardio-rehab 3 days a week--and see a trainer and stuff like that. I can do that for three months or I can see just my PCP for six months. however, my first visit with the PCP was in Jan and I cant start the 3 month until the end of march....so--to me, they would both end around the same time--am I right? (the three month program will cost about 400 Out of Pocket, too.)
OK, here is my question. If my BMI is 40 now---and I lose weight on the 3 month progam and my BMI drops too much below 40, will my insurance deny me? (aetna) I get that I should at least lose 10 pounds prior to surgery, and that will be ok- (after i get approval, i mean) but if i am on a supervised diet and exercise program with someone watching me daily--i am bound to lose more weight than that. Granted, i will likely gain it all back when i quit going.
Any suggestions?

I have Aetna....Total Health and I had to seek an Attorney to help me. It took a year....but I was just approved and my surgery is on March 10th!!
If you'd like to read my story, go to the "Insurance" part and then to "Here We Go Again".
Here we go again!!
I had a really hard time and my BMI was between 38-40.
Do you have any co-morbid's?
