That was a great list thank you for sharing. It is exactly how I feel everyday in this body of mine.

Thumbs up What an inspiration!

I too, laughed and cried thru your list. I am pre-op (7/7) and excited and nervous. My list is a lot like yours. Go shopping and not be drenched w/sweat by the time I reach the check out. Wrestle with my granddaughters, have them both on my lap, not the chair arms. Walk and not feel like my back is going to break. It is so nice to be able to voice these things with people who have been THERE and who understand. I am counting my blessings after the support group last night and discovering this forum today. Thank you all so much!

Talking Great List Mary

Mary,

That was a great list, and most of us can relate to your wishes. Congrats on reaching so many of your goals.

You are doing great!!

Cool One thing *I* want to be able to do after surgery!

[font=Verdana]One of the MANY things I want to be able to do after surgery is take an actual tub bath, and NOT touch both sides of the tub!!!
Oh sure, I can take a bath now, I can get into the tub, but I just can't get out, so, for years I've just taken a shower every day.... one day, I'd just love to be able to fill the tub with bubbles and soak for an hour or TEN!

The things I want to do when I lose the weight are:
1. Buy some sexy clothes
2. Show off my new figure at my reunion next year
3. Take a lond weekend with my hubbie without the baby
4. Go dancing
5. Start taking dance again ( ballet, jazz)
6. Enjoy life without all the co-morbids

Default I Loved Your List

I Can Relate To So Many Of The Things On Your List.
1. I Would Also Include How Excited I Was When I Could Wipe My Bum Without Getting Out Of Breath Trying To Reach Because It Was So Far Away From My Short Arms.
2. I Got To Fly In May And Did Not Have To Ask For A Seat Belt Extender. I Wiggled In My Seat With Excitement.
3. Sitting At The Bar At Pf Changs Instead Of Table Or Booth And I Did Not Feel Like I Was Encroaching Into The Space Of Other People. 4. The First Time I Could Not Find Something To Wear In The Full Size Area Of The Store Because It Was All Too Bigggg! That Was An Exciting Moment.
5. The First Time I Ran When Doing My Walk And Able To Go A Looooonnnnnggggg Way And Able To Breathe.

Thumbs up The List

What a great list. I had a list like that and I was so glad to check so many things off. It really is a miracle isn't it?

I hope that you and your family are very proud, you should be.

Here is an example of some of the things on my list that I have done:

Take a real bath: done
Take a bath with a friend: DONE... yah baby.
Paint my toenails: DONE
Finish a sentence without getting out of breath: DONE
Fit in an airline seat: DONE with room to spare!!
Horse around with my daughter: Done
Have my daughter proud of me: done, she cries for me and gives me high fives!
Be flirted with by strangers: Done, even had a woman ask me out... two in fact.
Wear a mini skirt: yup... I still need the size 2, this 4 is too big.
Fit into the nighties I have saved for 13 years. Done
Wear thongs, g strings etc. Done
Buy what I want, where I want and in the size I want. : Done
Have low blood pressure again: sounds weird, but done
Loose jewelry: done
Things I cannot talk about but are working out very well for us thank you very much: Done, done done done done and gonna keep getting done

What I have left to do will get done, I am confident of that. Thanks Dr. C, you are the best.
