Try egg beaters instead of real eggs. Even scrambled, real eggs made me nauseas, but the substitute was fine. I think it's the real yoke that affects us.

It took me many months to eat real eggs again, but it happened and now I eat a tomato and onion omelet nearly every day.

The cottage cheese is fine post-op. My NUT considered it a liquid.

Try stick blending some low-fat chunky soups for something hot and smooth, and pretty good.

SF Pudding tastes too sweet these days. I used to love salmon, now the smell of it cooking turns my stomach. Fried foods are the yuck, too...the smell is awful.

Wow, this is really interesting, thanks for posting everyone! I hate cottage cheese and yogurt, so I hope that changes!

Yogurt depends on the brand, for me.

Cottage cheese I hated pre-op. For some reason, I love the stuff now. Add some raisins or dried cranberries and it's even better.

some of the foods i used to really enjoy, taste funny to me now.... I used to love rice, but it tastes so bland now, no matter what kind i make or what kind of spices/salt i use. I guess i'm fine with this since i am not eating it at all anymore. I used to drink a lot of soda before, and 6 weeks out i took one little sip and BLAH! it's too sweet for me now. I'm glad i don't like that anymore. that was the hardest thing to give up pre op. I also noticed a change in fried foods. I ate two mcnuggets from mcdonalds the other day (i was out in the middle of no where and there was no other places to eat... So i got a happy meal with apple dippers and milk). They tasted so bland to me. I had to pour on the salt. Again it was something i used to enjoy a lot pre surgery, but won't eat ever again now...

Things that I thought I would really miss, I find that I don't miss them nearly as much as I thought I would. Things that I used to eat large amounts of, now a very small amount of is enough to satisfy me.

Yes, it is the same town where they make Hershey Kisses. Ironic, don't you think?
