Best advice, Tom. Don't buy a lot of anything! Get samples of protein powders to find what you can tolerate post op. What works today, may not post op. It varies.

I bought jello, sf pudding, Lactaid milk (in case I became lactose intolerant, which I didn't), different decaf teas, Gas X strips, Tylenol, flavored water (I like Adirondack brand, not sure if that's a national brand or not) and cream of chicken soup. I was able to have ricotta cheese with a little Hunt's tomato sauce and cottage cheese from 4 days post-op.

I use Isopure Dutch Chocolate for protein. Most people seem to like it. It's available at GNC, get a gold card and purchase it the first week of the month for a discount.

Hello Tom
well I found the Atkins Advantage protein shakes There are strawberry vanilla and 2 types of chocolate. Each has 15 protein 1 net carb and taste great. This was much to my surprise! Also my 30day diet said to include lots of green veggies. My list was as follows

green beans, cabbage, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers garlic spinach, mustard greens

eggs, pork chops, bacon, ham, sausage, hamburger meat, steak, chicken, weiners tuna and turkey

cheeses of all kinds, splenda, pork rinds, beef jerky sour cream

fix lg pot of chile... turn it into taco salad no shells of course big bowl of chile, hotdogs no buns. weiners onion slaw mustard and chile in a bowel

combination meat rolled in lettuce. equal amounts of ham bologna and cheese grated add dill pickles instead of sweet and mayo mix and enjoy on lettuce rolled up

take pork rinds make into crumbs and roll chicken stripes in it and fry!

take pork rinds make into crumbs and roll string cheese dip in egg roll in rinds and fry for cheese sticks.

I have more ideas if you would like them.

good luck
