Finally finished all the tests.
Yahoooooo! i have finally completed the required tests. The only left that he wants is for me to have a colonoscopy to clear up any further fear of cancer. Unfortunately that isn't scheduled until June 7. I hope the time goes by real fast.
Did many of you have to check with your PCP to make sure all the tests were sent in? I haven't seen anything come in at the patient website yet.

Hey Linda
Linda give them a call to see what labs they have recieved. You want to make sure you keep track of who has what and when what was sent where. I know sounds a bit confussing but it pays off to know what is going on wit your paper work. Cingrats on being one more step closer to becoming a loser.

Linda,
They never keep up with the patient board. I called every Wednesday to find out if they got the tests from last week. You would not believe how many times they told me no. So, I had to go back to that Doctor and pick it up from them and hand carry it in to Dr. C's office. It's worth it!

I'm fortunate that my PCP is in the next building to Dr. C and Dr. P. I had all of my bloodwork, ultrasound, EKG, etc done in the same group of buildings. Just walk from one appointment to the next. It was only a week to get the tests done from consult until dictation. Then it was only a week to get approved after that. After 10 months of waiting, the last month just flew by so quickly.

Thanks everyone. I'll keep calling because my doctor said he sent them on May 2 so they should have been posted last Wednesday. I'll keep on top of it and if necessary go to my doctor and get copies made and hand carry them. It is quite far out of our way but whatever it takes I'll do it.

Hi Linda, What I did was get copies of all tests done at my PCP's office. They sent them to the surgeon's office but I have copies incase anything vanishes. I did do some calling to make sure everything got to where it was supposed to go but I recommend keeping copies of everything. I wish you the best of luck. Pam

I had all my copies as well, and hand delivered them. Nothing was lost or they never said they didnt get anything. Besides, when I got them in my hands, I made copies of everything, so if they say they lost it, I wouldnt have to ask my Docotr for it again, I had it! Hope this helps. And...it was great meeting you! I wish you all the best in your surgery process

Hi Linda,
Congratulations on getting most everything done. I did much of the same things that everyone else did except I hand carried nothing. I work so I was fortunate enough to use my fax to get things to Dr. Potts. When nothing would be posted I would call and tell them that I had faxed something they needed over to the office but it isn't listed on the website. It would then appear by the end of the day or the next morning at the very latest. Of course I didn't have to do this many times and by the last submission of information they very quickly noted that what was missing had been submitted and that I was in dictation. I think it all depends on just how desperate we are to know what's going on some of us (not me) are more patient than others. Everyone does things in their own time.
Again, good luck, congrats and time really does fly by while you're waiting.
Terry
