Default Disapointed

Hey everybody, I'm home from the hospital, but I can't have a place on the losers bench. The Dr. could not do the RNY because of too much scar tissue from other surgery. He is going to send a letter to the insurance and get approval for the band. He said that would work well.

I don't think I have ever been so disappointed. I guess it was for the best and things work out the way they should. I am not giving up.

As soon as I get over this I will move on.

Gosh darn it! I am sorry to hear your news. What was your previous surgery? I am begining to get concerned that I won't be able to have WLS.

I do hope that you will push forward and look into the band.

I'm sorry sweetheart. But your doc did what he felt was safest for you.

But I like your attitude!

You can get excellent results with the lap band - I look forward to following your story. Hugs.

Wow - that would be a big disappointment. Sorry to hear that happened. Thank goodness you can have the lapband!

I hope that the lap band is right for you. I was really worried going into surgery that I would have too much scar tissue because I had a lap band and port (two ports actually), a hysterectomy, gallbladder removal and appendix removal and 2 c-sections. I was very worried but it worked out for me. I wish you the best and am glad your doctor is being careful with your health. Keep us posted.

One more hug can't hurt, right? *hug* Hang in there! I know encouraging words probably won't help a whole lot right now, but at least you aren't excluded from WLS completely. And this way will be much safer. Good luck.
