I was denied twice and went to the board before I was approved, so don't give up the fight. I know it sucks when you get the nope sorry letter, and feels like someone has punched you in the gut, but keep fighting it. Don't let them get off that easy. Good luck to you keep us posted on what they say.

well from what they are telling me they are saying that the new information is just the same as the first time. how can that be???? the first time i didn't have proof of 5 years of obesity but i got it and sent it in so why are they saying it is a duplicate?

Are you sure what they are looking at and what was submitted the second time is the newest version? Just a thought if for sure it is I would go through it on the phone page by page until they get to the 5 year obesity part. That way you have them by the balls and demand an answer. Good luck sweetie

ok so after 3 hours on the phone with the insurance company here is what i found out. apparently when we sent the appeal the insurance company assumed it was the same thing and denied it. so after talking to about 20 different people today i finally got one that listened to me and she figured this out. she is going to put a rush on this so hopefully by thursday (keeping fingers crossed) i will finally be approved.

and txchick the first place i called was nuweigh, but their surgeon that does revisions no longer takes my insurance. my current surgeon was actually recommend by them.
