Default Cardiac Evaluation was Hell on my nerves

They did the stress test on treadmill with regular EKG and it showed something "not right".. omigod freakout time.....then they did another more thorough test where I was injected with something over two days...and was cleared this time with the first being written off as "false positive". What a relief.

I think I am just waiting on the Psyche Eval now....#28 in line for that.

Still working on my Anxiety, Lexapro seems to be starting to help.

Sorry to have not been posting much....been in a funk.

Later, Mike

Default Mike,

Dang, what a scare on the stress test. Anyone would have stress over that!

We totally understand being in a funk...

Welcome back!

Mike,

It's normal to be in a funk. It felt like I'd never get all the testing and such done. As for the psych, is there only 1 person doing them in your area??? I'm very impatient and so the idea of waiting forever for an eval would make me crazy. Please keep talking to us, we understand exactly where you are and how you're feeling.

One thing, I'm so glad there was nothing wrong on the stress test after all. Woo hoo!
Hang in there buddy, we're here for ya.

Getting all the testing done is tough. I was so sick of it all I almost gave up. I work with a lady who did give up half way through. Now our insurance doesn't provide wls as a covered benefit of our plan and she is just miserable about it. I had to go two hours away from home. I had this horrible flu and had to do a sleep study, the next morning (afte little sleep) I had a stress test, blood work, cardiopulmonary function test, and a nutrionist appointment. Half way through the day I just wanted to give up! Two days later I went back and had the EGD, the next day I had a veni-filter put in (my doc requires it) and then I had to go to the docs office for yet another test for stomach bacteria. I thought it would never end! Two weeks later I had surgery! There is light at the end of the tunnel! For me that was the hardest part of this whole journey-the endless poking and prodding. Great to hear from you again! I was wondering where you had ran off to!
