I'm so excited for you, Laura! I think I'm more excited than I was for myself. I wish I had done it young as well...but at least I've done it now!

Are you able to have protein shakes or the protein water like Special K? Added protein will help to curb your appetite a bit. Also, I really enjoyed draining the broth from Campbell's soups as a liquid choice. They have a rich flavor and are more satisfying.

Good luck honey, and keep us posted. I think everybody is saving you a seat on the loser's bench!

I can have protein. I'll try some tomorrow. I have soup right here with me. I just drain out the chicken and noodles and give them to my dogs. I will try some other soups too. I also bought 4 boxes of different flavored jello that I can have.

I know! Less than a week. It doesn't even seem real. I don't think it ever will.

I'm not a big fan of the protein shakes, but I choke at least one down a day. Lately though, they've been okay as I've been mixing them with a little coffee--kind of tastes like the knock off version of a Frappacino...I'll take what I can get!

Thinking of you Laura... excited for you too!

Keep focused on the "prize" and you'll do fine on the pre-op diet... Mike's right... if you can do protein at all, it'll help with hunger.

Is your dad ready for this? LOL! I worry more about him than you... LOL! It's hard to see your child wheeled off to surgery...

Do you have someone on TT for your dad to call so we can all hear that you're doing ok??? We'll all be ANXIOUS to know!

Can't wait to see the butterfly emerge! Be sure to take a bunch of "before" pictures so that you have a good comparison. At your age, your outcome should be amazing and your skin should snap right back.

Be sure to have one of your parents post some updates on your surgery!

I am very excited for you!

I will have my laptop with me so I can post when I'm awake, and then as the days go by. My dad isn't nervous, he is excited. My mom, on the other hand, is a mess. I think my dad will be when I'm asleep.

6 days. 5 days until I leave for the hospital!
