Default FINALLY! A little movement.

OK, so it's been a year since I saw my PCP and first asked about WLS. He gave me a referral to the Endocrinologist, who sent me on to 8 nut visits and 20 psych visits. I went back to the endocrinologist last week and he said that he had to get their approval letters together, and send his own with them off to Kaiser for approval. Only THEN do I get my heart, lung, gallbladder and GI tests. Then see the surgeon (yes, this is going to go on forever, it seems).

He told me to contact his office at the end of this week to see if they had everything and had sent it on. So I sent an email and got this response from his nurse:

(Withacy)..........good news! All the necessary letters were sent to the approval committee on Wednesday of this week. At this point, there's nothing else you need to do, just wait for the approval letter in your mail and then give us a call when you get it. This can sometimes take up to 30 days, but we have every reason to expect that you'll be approved. Look forward to hearing from you when you get your approval letter.

So that's a little progress, right?
