Default Got A Date

I got a date at last August 19th. Im so excited. Its perfect as it is during my holidays so i dont have to take so much time off work which is what i was afraid of. I have 4 weeks of eating normal (well normal to me anyway, overeating to normal ppl). i feel like i am taking full advatage of it as i am eating all around me and enjoying all the bad foods of chineese, kfc, mcdonalds etc. . awh well. then i have the dreaded two week pre op diet. I dread that. I havent eaten healthy in seven years.

Default Congratulations!!

Hi there,

I am intrigued by your name-what is Deaths Mistress??

I see that you are in Cork also.Where are you going to be operated on and which procedure?you must be delighted to have a date.
I was done in Bons this day last week and couldnt recommend the whole experience there highly enough.None of the three of us had any complications and the nursing care was second to none-we were each alloted a nurse on admission.
If I can be any help don't hesitate to pm me-the more clued in you are the easier the whole thing is.I am keeping this totally confidential and telling noone so I have no problem with you not telling me your name!!

Sue

I get the feeling that people who are eating everything in sight before their surgery are just not ready for what is going to happen to them. I think you need to do a lot of research still. Once you're in the mindset of this really happening and it doesn't mean that you'll never be able to eat again, you'll be much less concerned with eating everything in sight and much more concerned with preparing your body and mind for the exciting road ahead.

Default A date Finally

Hi Everyone,
Finally met with Dr Graber and we decided on September 5th as the beginning of my new life. Wow it's really happening. Excited and nervous all at the same time.
Congrats Noonie on your date. Good Luck and we'll see each other on the looser's bench

totally! that was me and because i wasnt mentally prepared i had a stricture (from vomiting so much because i was eating solids at 3 weeks thinking i was hungry) and dehydrated too because i thought i could handle drinking only 32-40 oz a day instead of 64 oz like my doc said.

Congratulations on a date, now go thru your pantry and cupboards and try like heck to get healthy food in there and get in the healthy eating mind set. Take it from experience. ooooo its so hard i know
