It been a while since I posted, having to do mostly with being denied.. I close myself off from the world when Im disappointed. I need to thank Juliagulia for her advise. She advise me to call bcbs regarding my approval. I called this morning and was AAAPPPRRROVVVEEDDDDD!!!!!!! I called my doctors office and have the date for my surgery JULY 28th...... Im so excited!!!

What an awsome feeling to be approved and have your date so close. I read your post and saw that you have BCBS, and that you were denied. I am new here and I too have BCBS. I was wondering why you had been denied? I just wanna know everything I can. I have done all my work up except for my abdominal ultrasound that is Friday, everything else has been good. I go back to Dr. Callery's office on July 11th. From there it is off to the insurance to wait for approval. Any and all advice/opinions is appreciated. Thanks and congratulations again!

operalover &KRISTY - I think i started my journey in nov or dec. Considering my bmi was high I didnt expect to have to have a 6 month diet. I did a 3mnth diet and had my paperwork submitted. I was denied, had to finish my 6 mnth diet. The paperwrk was submitted and I had a response 1 week later. The first time took close to 4 weeks before I heard anything back.
