Hiays Noonie,

Boi oh boi, do I know how you're feeling. I gained 15 lbs very quickly thinking I needed to eat everying in sight, that it was my "last supper" and then I had to realize after meeting with my NUT that everything is going to be ok, and yes we will be able to eat after surgery, just different. As soon as I had that appointment back in May, pounds just started to naturally melt off. Hang in there chica, you are not alone I'm doing this ride with you.

blessings,

Kim~

Noonie.. *stern look*
Only read this if you have a thick skin.

Food is killing us all. You have got to stop shoveling all that food into your body. Are you really ready to do this and to commit to the changes that are going to be ahead of you? If you really are ready, you need to stop right now with this destructive behavior.

I challenge you to go the next 2-3 days on liquids only, get all that fat and sugar toxins out of your system. It's gonna hurt and you're gonna get headaches and wanna kill me for suggesting it, but when you're thru with those couple days, you are left with a normal persons appetite. You have a free chance to start over and make the right choices.

You could very easily lose 15 or 20 lbs before your surgery and make the whole process a lot easier for you. Just because Dr Dillemans is an amazing surgeon and doesn't require the preop diet does not mean that you shouldn't care enough about yourself to give him a helping hand. If you were to lose 20lbs before this surgery, your body would be so happy, and your surgeon would be thankful that he has more room to work in there. Detoxing your body before surgery means the transition after surgery is gonna be easier for you.

I urge you to detox for 2 or 3 days and then eat well for the next month to prepare for your new life.

Breakfast: a piece of toast, a boiled egg, an orange or a bowl of oatmeal or a bowl of cream of wheat
Lunch: 2 pieces of bread with lite cheese and turkey or soup or salad
Dinner: Whatever you make your family, but eat a small portion on a sandwhich plate instead of a large plate.
Snacks: cucumber, tomatoes, fruit, lite yogurt.

When you look back on this month before surgery, do you want to see yourself being a pig that was out of control eating everything in the house because she was so addicted to junk or do you want to see a strong woman who was so excited about her future and ready to take control of her life that she just grabbed life and took control?

Smile Ah Josephine!!

I am so ready to start the detox....on monday the reason being that we have a family get together on this sunday so it will be guns blazing on monday morning.
The stern advise is good and most of the time it is what we need to get our buts shifted, so thank-you.
Will keep this site posted but fingers crossed i will be a few pounds down before surgery.

It was hard for me to be tough on you because being fat I've learned to be a people pleaser and crave acceptance, but I put my fears of you thinking I was rude to the side to give you a leg up on this. I'm so glad you agree with me that detoxing now gives you a headstart and you're gonna do it. It will make that month after surgery so much easier on you Yaaaaaay!! I know you can do it. Remember.. that first 2 or 3 days is the tough part because your body is physically addicted to fat, sugar, and additives that they put in all the prepackaged junk. I know if you can get past that 2 or 3 days you're gonna be fine at watching what you eat to prepare yourself for the big changes ahead!
