Default 5 Days/12 Days to GO...

I have been on my liquid diet for 5 days now. I am scheduled for surgery on the 26th. I am allowed 3 protein shakes, a protein bar and a packet of soup a day. The first 3 days were ok, although I would have given my first born for a turkey and cheese sandwich. Yesterday though, OMG, Yesterday, I would have given ALL my kids for a EGGO Waffle. (man, the things you crave when you can't eat anything!) Today, I feel totally fine. I think it is SO WEIRD! It's like my body got use to not eating. I havn't craved anything at all today. I had a protein shake this morning about 8:30 ish and I had to force myself to eat the protein bar about an hour ago. (3:30ish) I am just not hungry. I hope this continues for the next 12 days, because if any of these upcoming days are like yesterday, I will be in serious trouble. I am very proud of my self for going this long and being faithful. Ok, Ok, OK the concience is getting to me. I put a smige of salt in my soup yesterday because the taist was just awful! UUUGGG! I feel so guilty about that, but I will do it again probably! LOL

I just don't know how I am going to make it through the weekend. At least here at work, I have a schedule to go by. I have 5 kids at home that eat everything and anything all day long. Not to mention a two year old who just had his birthday party last weekend, so he has loads of candy right now. UUUGGG! (SIGH) Although I am not craving anything sweet.

I will keep you all posted, and probably be on this forum all weekend to get myself out of the kitchen...

Thanks for all your suport and encouragement!

Hey Slimmer!
I'm on the 26th too! I'm so excited! I haven't started a liq diet yet though?! I am on a high protien low carb diet. I go to my preop appt on the 17th, I have an EGD on the 19th. I suppose i'll start my preop liq diet on tues. Either way I'm so excited! I have been having a stomache ache for a few days, but it seems to be easing up though. Anyway,I hope all goes well, and I look forward to sitting next to you on the LOOSER'S BENCH!
