High Anxiety - ThinnerTimes

Hey everyone!! I can't believe that this is really happening. I recieved a call almost two weeks ago from Lisa telling me that my insurence came through and she wanted to set up my surgery date and my pre-op apointment. I could not believe the words I was hearing; I feel like I have waited so long for that phone call! My surgery is on May 4th. Its only a couple of days from now and I feel like the the anxiety has been laid on thick. I am very excited but at the same time I have so many worries.I am just one big ball of nervous energy. I really don't like surgery, its not so much fun, but I guess who does? I trust that Dr. Callery is a great surgeron and I am in good hands. I have to say thank you so much to my boyfriend for being so supportive and understanding. I know for sure that I would not have been able to get through half of this with out him. I just wanted to let everyone know my good news and thanks for all of your support.

Congrats.. Congrats.. Congrats. Nikki I hope you are jumping up and down or even runnin down the street to burn off some of the excitment I know you are feeling right now. Just try to not burn to much energy

. I wish I could express the joy I feel when I read a post about a surgery date. It is so amazing. Another one of my buddies on here is having here suregry May 9th and another friend here on thinnertimes is having hers early May. My prayers are with you. I am sure you are great hands. Nikki - Congratulations on your surgery date. Your date is May 4th, mine is May 3rd. I can totally understand your excitement and anxiety right now. I have finally calmed down, thanks to everyone here on the forum. I will be thinking of you on Wednesday. Good luck and God bless you.

Congratulations on your journey so far. I want to wish you peace within during these few days left until your surgery. It's totally normal to feel anxious and excited and scared all at the same time.

Know that you are in good hands with Dr. Callery. If you would like visitors, please post your surgery date on the calendar and let someone know your last name. If you private e-mail me, I'll make every effort to come visit you.

Hi,

My surgery is with Dr. Potts on the 6th. The reality is finally hitting me just how soon that really is. My pre-op is on the 4th. See you in the hospital!!!

I am so happy for you. As you can tell from the replies, you are not alone with the anxiety....so many of us are having surgery in the next couple of weeks (mine is on the 12th). I will be thinking about you on the 4th and will keep you in my prayers.

Terry and Tracy, you guys will be in my prayers also....let me know what it's like on the other side.

Girl let me tell ya, before you make it out of the hospital it will seem as if it happend to someone else. I hardly remember going into surgery. While you are in surgery I will be going to get mr. peabody out (my drain tube). So I most deffinetly will remember you while you are in your surgery and you will be in my prayers.
