Unhappy what if my endoscopy shows....

some type of problem? ie. ulcer or H.pylori ? Will I still be able to have my surgery? I mean I haven't had any stomach problems since I was like 11 yrs old. Then when I began this process I was tested for H. pylori tested positive and have been treated. Otherwise, I've had no other problems. Lately though I have been having some tummy aches but nothing serious or painful. I'm gonna call my PCP tomorrow and see if I can get some Pepcid to cut out the occasional aches.
Someone please tell me I can still have my surgery! I'm kinda freaked out I'm only 15 days away!

Why are yo having an endoscopy? Whats going on? I was H Pylori positive and had my surgery, there was no concern for that at all.

I also tested positive for H Pylori. I took 14 days of meds, and that didn't hinder my date...but, my date isn't till June 23rd.

I have to have the EGD, as a preop precaution. I was tested for H.pylori 3 months ago and treated for it already. I'm just hoping I don't have an ulcer or something. Until I had the treatment for H. pylori, I hadn't had any kind of stomach irritation. But now sometimes I have little stomachaches, and it makes me nervous.

I think they also do this for obstructions....it is just a way for your surgeon to know everything is fine and he has a clear path to do what he needs to do.

For my pre-surgery endoscopy, they found a polyp they removed during the procedure and what a difference! I didn't have any reason to think anything was wrong, but after they removed the polyp, several of my gastric issues cleared up.
