This place is amazing, whenever i have a spare minute im on here absorbing all the info i can get!
i have been looking at time scales..looks like 7-9 months is a fair amount of time am i right, from start to reaching goal or near goal?
I thought it was gonna be more like a year.
I just cannot WAIT for this surgery now,i know its gonna b hard, but im looking forward to the op now like the beginning of a new life and i cant wait!!!!!!
I am having roux en y {not sure of the spelling?}by keyhole surgery.
Im dreaming of what "normal" feels like, and walking past kids without them leaping backwards like a rhino is about to go past! haha.

Time to goal depends on how much you have to lose. Me, I am 4 days from my 7-month anniversary, but not close to goal by any means yet. However, I started from those upper, close to 400 lb, echelons. Going to take me a year and a half to reach goal I am told.

Thanks Ladybird! Today is measurement day and I spent the better part of it at church. Guess I need to find my notebook now and get it over with!

Tricia, how often do you measure yourself? What parts do you measure as well?

Hollie,

Once a month, the first weekend of the month. We have a sheet the doctor's office gave us to go by. Arms, Armpit, neck, bust, waist, hips, calves, ankles. Probably others I can't remember. Book is still in car. I am bad today!

Me too. Overslept, late to church for setup, and it has been downhill ever since.
