You are feeling anxiety because you are thinking in the unknown. It's understandable. It will all become very clear as you get closer to your surgery, and immediately post op. You won't want to eat the way you do now. You just won't, literally, have the stomach for it.
As far as your work schedule is concerned, you obviously have to take time to go to the powder room, or have breaks. You will need to fill that time with having something to sip on, a protein drink, whatever stage you are in. You will be eating often, and you will make time for that. You won't eat much, but you will eat.
Here's the thing - stop THINKING so much!!! You are worrying about mechanics that will evolve (if you let it). Buy "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies," and take this time to look forward to being a new you. EMBRACE THIS PROCESS. You will find your AUTHENTIC YOU if you do. And if you can't embrace it fully, then don't have this surgery. It requires a lot of commitment, in many different ways.
This is a journey, not a destination......

You know what is glorious? I can still have chipotle after the surgery. In moderation, of course! I will have to change it to a bowl instead of a burrito and 86 the rice, but nothine else that I get on it is bad! Knowing that gave me a kind of security blanket, so I stopped feeling so nervous about the surgery. Stupid I know.
Clair, thanks for the input. I am trying to get to the "journey" view point, but I am so stuck on the "skinny" part that I am focused on the destination. I need to get my hear around that!

I agree with Claire... don't think too much on it, you'll work things out. After all, you'll be home for a while during recovery -- perhaps 2 to 4 weeks??? By the time you go back to work you'll have your act together and you'll be able to setup an eating schedule that you can work with at work.
Perhaps:
Breakfast:
Have a protein shake while your getting yourself ready in the AM. Take an hour to drink 8 oz.
Work Drink:
You might decide to bring one or two 16oz. protein drinks to work with you - in a good covered cup that keeps things cold well. Have it ready made. Shake it up (add ice from the pizza place next door) and sip throughout an hour or two until your done, and in the afternoon, start another one, or something sugar-free, even water (if you like water... I don't).
There are plenty of protein shake recipes at TT so that you don't have to get tired of just one style. Me, I like double strength orange generic crystal light, one 23g scoop of protein powder, shake it well, add ice bits and voila: an Orange Julius (I have 2 per day) -- using a Magic Bullet works even better because it crushes the ice and makes a great foam.
You can even sip on a chocolate shake using skim milk and sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfast or Chocolate Protein Powder -- add a teaspoon or two of sugar free chocolate pudding and it thickens up. You can buy a good hand-held shaker. There are lots of possibilities to satisfy your tastebuds.
Snacks:
If your workplace has a fridge. Bring in 4 oz of cottage cheese and a 6 oz yogurt. You can eat those during your two breaks.
Me personally, I hated cottage cheese, so I mixed it with Yoplait Yogurt and it wasn't half bad. Believe it or not, now I can eat fat free cottage cheese with no problem -- I actually look foward to it.
Lunch:
At lunch you can microwave a soup, 4 to 6 oz (or whatever you can tolerate, or whatever you can have that's hot).
I purchased a stick blender and puree all my chunky soups. Then I measure it out in freezable/microwavable containers in 6 oz servings and have them ready to pop in when I'm on the go. You don't have to finish all 6 oz, you just eat what fits at the time - usually 4 oz.
KEEP A JOURNAL:
Though you don't have to, my doc and nutritionist want me to, so I do. AND if you do, write down what you're intending to eat in the AM or the day before, and you'll have your portions right for the next day and then you'll go through the day not worrying if your intake is adequate. Your protein will be taken care of, and liquid is all that's left.
And you'll make adjustments. It's not just WLS, it's an adventure!
All the best, Jen... this time before the DATE goes all to slowly doesn't it.

You get nervous because you think you have to give up your favorite foods that you can never eat "normal" again.....
You'll still get those feelings and you realize that your current "normal" way of eating becomes disdainful and almost sickening afterwards. You find a new norm....
and you still can have your favorite foods, not right away, and in much smaller amounts.....I eat pizza, pasta, bread, corn, ice cream, spicy, anything and everything I want, I have......it takes time to get there and you will figure out in what quantities you can have it in that works for you.
I gorged the last week.....HUGE hot fudge sundaes, cheesecake, hamburgers, gained 4 lbs by weigh in.....

I Am So Glad That There Is Another Someone Out There That Is Feeling The Same Way As I Am. I Will Have My Surgery On 7/1. I Have Been Trying To Cut Out A Meal A Week Because I Want To Get Ready For The Two Week Pre-op Diet, I Am Afraid That My Family Will Disown Me By The End Because I Will Be Such A B**ch. I Have Never Had Surgery Of Any Kind So I Am Afraid Of That Whole Process. Staying In The Hospital, going Under Anetisia, and The Pain. I Have Had 3 Children All Over 9lbs Each And I Had Drugs For All Of Them So I Never Felt That Pain. Im Not To Worried About The Eating After Wards Because I Think That You Are Some What Controlled By The Fact That You Are Not Hungry For The First Couple Of Weeks.and Both My Mom And Dad Have Had Wls So I Have Seen First Hand How Thing Go After The Surgery. Thanks For Your Post, I Dont Post Very Often But I Thought You Should Know That There Are Others Having The Same Feeling And Thoughts. I Wish You The Very Best And I Hope That All Goes Well For You.

Marella,
I'm waiting for my surgery date and have been making shakes for breakfast to do sort of a trial run. Thanks for your suggestions here. They are great!

Check out the recipes section of TT. There's a whole thread devoted to shakes.
I've tried real pineapple juice, strawberries and protein. I eliminated the strawberries because I couldn't taste the pineapple.
So, I did pineapple juice and protein and it was divine... but you have to watch your bowels. The pineapple juice helped jump start mine and made me more regular. It may not fit everyone.
I'm not allowed to do 'real' orange juice, so I decided to experiment with generic Crystal light.
I have all sorts of flavors, I figured I'd try another should I get sick of orange - like lemon or cherry. In real strength, I also like mixing one lemon with almost any other flavor and that gives it a little zap. I just having tried mixing protein powder in with a lemony concoction yet.
Have fun experimenting!
