Yes I think I am ready as much as I can be. I have been traveling since May 13th, and am currently in Reno. I will be leaving here the 5th for San Diego. I really haven't had alot of time to think about things and just hope my son(22yrs) is keeping the house clean while I'm gone ...yah right. I guess some stuff I will just figure out as I go. I am usually a pretty laid back person.

Hello everyone!

I started my journey 6 months ago and my surgey date is scheduled for June 23, 2008. (Lap RNY) I have to admit I'm a tad bit nervous about the surgery, but I'm also happier than I've been in a while. I'm a newbie to the forum, so bare with me as I start posting. I have read almost everyones posts on this site and I'd like to thank you all for your insight. I feel like my mind is overloaded with information about Gastric Bypass.....it became a bit of an obsession for a while and was the only thing I researched on the net. I just want to be sure I know as much as I can before hand. Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself and share the good news. And by the way....most of my family is non supportive of my decision! I'm guessing some of you all have heard the same response from family and friends? Goes a little something like this: "Why don't you get on a diet before you resort to surgical measures?" As if I haven't tried! C'mon people! Anyway, I'm not letting them ruin my future! All I care about is being healthier, and if my husband approves, then that's all I need! Are there some of you in your twenties that can shed some light about loose skin?? (I feel weird about asking, but I really want to know) Thanks guys! You all ROCK!!!!!
