Smile Stuff to take to the hospital, cont..

I know I mentioned that chapstick is important to bring, I forgot something else. This is a FYI. If you have a cell phone bring it. No one tripped on me for using it at the hospital at all. You cannot make a local call without a calling card. Someone told me that if you do make a local call the card wont be charged... but who knows. Incoming calls are no problem, but getting out is a problem. Just wanted you guys to have the heads up!

I always said, "nobody is so important that they couldn't wait to get home to make a phone call" ROFL!!! And who went to get cell phones so we'd have them at the hospital?? My hubby and I did in April!!! LOL
Best thing we ever did! We love em!

I had no problems making outside calls and I wasn't charged as far as I know. I had to use the operator to dial out. I think it depends on the room too. I was able to dial directly out in ICU, but needed the operator on med/surg.
