I do know that the open procedure is quite different than LAP..and your liver being small really helps during the LAP ..and they really want to stay with Lap versus open..its much easier to heal from.... so with that said .... I did 10 days too... so girl I feel your pain and am sorry ...... but they are doing what they think will make your surgery easier .....

I didn't mean stays easy...I meant becomes easy, which I know won't happen, but one can only hope, right? The liver is on the right side of your upper stomach. My doctor is always pushing on it when I go in to make sure I'm still good to go.

Default "pleasant lemon taste"

Yes, I am taking the magnesium citrate. The only way to describe it is- nasty with a strange dirty lemon aftertaste. I hate it. I need to do a few last errands tomorrow. I forgot to pick up a few things. I am scared $#*)less to be away from the bathroom!

Goal! I did it!
105 pounds gone since my RNY
119 total pounds gone forever!
I finally have a "normal" BMI
Reached my first goal of 145...and setting a new one of 135.
Reached 135 and have decided to lose another five if I can.

I'm in the 130's for the first time since puberty!

Glad you're doing better. And it's almost over! And remember, after surgery it's so much easier. You won't be hungry or feel faint for only drinking liquid. I had to do liquids the day before surgery and take Milk of Magnesia to clean me out. During that day, I was so excited about surgery the next day that it didn't bother me, but I did wonder how I was going to do 2 weeks of it after surgery. But it was easy. Never hungry and never faint or weak. You're almost there! You're gonna do great!
