Default Got approved so quickly

I found out my file went to insurance for final approval on Monday and was approved today. 2 DAYS??? WOWI got the phone call from Leslie at work and my tongue was all tied up. I could hardly speak. I was in disbelief.

Anyway, I am so excited and I already have butterfies. "I couldn't even eat dinner". I am sure that won't last long. I want to go and throw all of my fat wardrobe away, but I know I have to wait. Besides, I will save for clothing exchanges.

I just want to thank everyone who helped me through these last few weeks. I really had a tough time concentrating on anything, but the final approval and you all welcomed me beautifully.

You are all the bomb!

I have Blue Shield HMO and I thought they were going to be tough. As long as I met their criteria, everything was fine.
I wish you all the luck. Just be persistant.

I have SRS and they approved me pretty quick. It would have been quicker if the fires hadn't happened 2 days after I went to insurance. If they gave you the consult they will more than likely approve you. That is how SRS works.

Default Insurance

Susie, I also have SRS and I was approved in a nano second. I had to jump thru hoops to get the referral to Dr. Callery but after that it was a quick, smooth sail. Good luck to you.

Smile Quick is right!!

Dale,

It seems as if 2 days is the norm for Insurance approval.. sometimes more sometimes less.. I remember I was sent to insurance on Tuesday, Leslie called me on Thursday with my approval.. and I could not even stand straight I swore I was going to go through the floor I was jumping up and down.. then she told me if you love me now you are going to love me even more when I tell you when your surgery is.. WEDNESDAY!!! WOW!!! So my pre-op was Friday and I went in Tuesday night at midnight.. talk about fast!!! lol

Enjoy these last moments.. and DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR CLOTHES!! LOL Not only are they good for the pre-ops at clothing exchanges.. you will need your "fat" clothes post op because if you are anything like me you would want the most comfortable clothes possible.. I stayed in flannel jammies for a few days.. lol

Take care and have a safe and wonderful trip to the other side.

Default Insuance denial for revisonal has this happened to anyone

I had lap-band surgery in 2005, lost about 75-80 pounds, felt great, pretty successful for the band. Devloped errosin and had to have band removed in Oct.2007 and was to be converted to GB. Dr. opted to wait 6months for healing for fear of complications. The tissue after the removal was not in great shape. Waited the 6months. Suposedly got approval to complete revision to GB, and day before schedual surgery the Hospital cancelled the surgery. I am sure I will never know what happened. In the course of trying to reschedual I learned my surgeon was no longer the covered surgeon under our plan. I was upset but composed myself ,went to see new Dr. under plan and loved him and his staff. Surgery was set for June 25. 6 days before I was called and told I was denied because my BMI was only 36 and none of my illnesses are considered life threatening. I have gained close to 40 pounds since my band was removed. My BMI has gone from 28 to 36. The familiar feelings aches and pains are coming back. (I was really trying to make this short.) I am now hoping and praying for an appeal commitee to reconsider my coverage. Any thoughts or ideas on what else I can do? I am a reck! Thanks
