Hang in there hon! The lightheadedness and headache for me would go away when I drank more water. I had put in another post that I've done liquid off and on now for 4 of the past 6 weeks in order to make my pre-op weigh in... and yes, with exercise or exertion I found that my head would start pounding and that I didn't have as much energy, but I did make it through - and so will you - this is your sheer determination and will to finish this race and what a great thing is sitting at the finish line... only a few more days and you'll cross it!

I have to do clears for the last 2 days before surgery and the Mag Cit flush. I am not looking forward to it, but I'll do it if that's what it takes!!

*hugs*

Default Love these posts....

Hi Mom. I really enjoy these daily posts, especially the more detailed one yesterday. My surgery date is a couple of weeks after yours, so I'm taking notes as I read your posts.

The pre-op diet is the thing that I most dread, but I hear that after after 4 days it gets easier. I hope that is the case for you too.

Did you check with your doctor and make sure your weren't allowed protein shakes? It seems like everyone else is allowed 2 a day, plus the liquids you're having. It would be a shame if it was simply a misunderstanding and you were starving yourself unnecessarily.

I'm on day six right now and it does get better. Day 2 and 3 were the worst for lightheadedness. Your liquid diet is longer then mine...but I would say it will get better in a day or so. Good luck!!!

Our surgeon is very clear in stating in HUGE BOLD font that no dairy or protein supplements are allowed during the 14 days
