I'm a May stapler!
I just started "hanging out" with the TT gang, but my surgery was May 5th... I'm still a May stapler, even though I am now 8 days out!

Glad to see you home Karen. I am a week ahead of you and still have a little soreness, but as I am sure you know it gets better each day.

Congratulations!
Congrats Karen and Bonnie! I wasn't very sore, but I took the Loritab faithfully every 3 hours, so that is probably why.
It's exciting and scary being on the losing side, huh?

liquid protein
Mmmmm... Isopure! As it turns out, whey protein makes me ill just like dairy now. So, I'm having a hard time finding ways to supplement my protein. Plus, even the Isopure tastes bad to me. It's okay until the aftertaste, ya' know? Believe it or not, the only liquid protein that doesn't make me feel like I need to be popped like a baloon is Boost (Glucose control version). I've been chilling it until it's almost frozen and then dumping it in a blender with one teaspoon of peanut butter. I got this tip from someone on this forum and the peanut butter really helps with the taste and consistency! When do you graduate to creamy liquids?
How is your soreness? I hope you are not too uncomfortable!

May 8th was my surgery date. I'm feeling good! Still get fatigued around 2 or 3 pm but nothing a little nap won't fix.
