Very happy for you, Sherry!

I must be the dimmest bulb in the box because I never once thought there would be any issue with my surgery getting approved, not sure if I got an approval letter or not.. I assume I did but I dunno. (they've paid the bill so I'm sure I did, lol)

Thanks Lizzie. After I read some of the postings on here about the troubles/refusals that people have with their insurance companies, I realize that I am truly blessed. Even if I have to wait a couple of months for the surgery date, at least I got the insurance approval quickly.

Thanks Kel. Honestly, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have a problem, as the medical secretary at the surgeons office said my insurance "was easy". But, after jumping hurdles, and going for a gazillion tests for the last few months, to me this was the last final hurdle to go over. I'm just SO happy that it's done.

Congrats! It's an exciting time. When I got my call, I missed it and heard the voicemail. I freaked out and tried to call the office but they had closed about 5 minutes earlier, so I had to wait until the next morning to schedule. But it's been a whirlwind process. I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

CONGRATS SHERRY!!!! I too remember the moment I heard I'd been approved.... the warm flush, red face, tears!!! It happened at my WLS Xmas party... there was a collective "awwwww" from the guests there....

Now to focus in on THE date!!! Wheee!

Default Woo Hoo 4 You!!!!!!!

Congratulations Sherry! I too just got my letter of approval last Friday but now I have to wait for them to change the type of surgery that was requested. I was approved for lapband but I wanted the gastric bypass. They gave me a tentative date of 6/20 but that may change.

I'm so excited for you! Your day is coming, at last!
