Call from Dr. Callery!!!!!
Yes, Dr. Callery called me last night himself!! He called to let me know that he'd talked to the hematologist, and I DON'T have to have the Vena Cava filter inserted before surgery!!!!  He said that with "good prophylactic care before, during and after surgery I should be fine". We know that he already takes awesome precautions with all of his patients, and even though I have the Factor V Leiden disorder, if something was going to happen, DVT wise, it could happen to anyone, not just me, it's just a fact, so, he said, "make sure you're taking your multivits and I'll see you in a couple weeks!" 
So, no more hoops, no more road blocks, now I can "cry for happy........"

Congratulations!!
I totally missed this post the other day, but this morning I saw Sandi's signature on another post and realized that SHE'S FINALLY SCHEDULED! I'm so happy for you, Sandi! I know it's been such a struggle for you. I can't wait for you to be enjoying the thrill ride that is post-op!

I hope that I can do as good a job with the ride as the rest of you have, there's always that thought in the back of my head, "what if?" ya know... what if it doesn't work, what if I don't lose.... but, as stubborn as I am, it just will, that's all there is to it!!!
