Default Did anyone buy skinny clothes B4 surgery?

So I needed a new swimsuit this summer. Luckily I hadn't bought one yet, although I had picked it out. Once I found out surgery was a reality I decided there was no way I was going to buy one. But then it hit me - why not buy it smaller? So instead of the 22 that I am now, I bought it in a 16, and I have it sitting in my room just waiting for me to fit into it.

Did anyone else do this before surgery?

YES! Just before surgery last summer, Kohl's had a clearance sale and I bought several size Large & MEDIUM shirts that were about $4 a piece. I went to wear one of the Large yesterday and it was too big! Good thing I bought more mediums than larges.

I didn't buy anything pre-surgery about at about 4 weeks post-op, Walmart had a sale and along with a few bits and pieces (and undies....I hate baggy undies! LOL), I bought some jeans.

Get this - I bought from size 18 to size 8! LOL Yep! 6 pairs. And here I am, 6 months later and I wear the 10's now - the 8's are a little hard to do up.

Last summer I was in 3-4X clothes ............Karen - you are going to love your new life.

Thanks Corrine! My biggest fear right now is that for some reason they are going to tell me I have to be postponed, or that it's not real.

I'm nowhere near scared but totally excited about the surgery!

I still have size 8 work clothes and 10 "skinny jeans" from when I was on Jenny Craig a few years ago. Those clothes are beautiful and I can't wait to get back into them! I can't wait to feel like I have a new wardrobe!

It's too soon for me to buy any new clothes I want to make sure surgery happens for me, but I do have my eye on a pair of jeans that my SO owns, and since he doesn't wear them, they'll be mine. I think they are a 34 inch waist even if the hem is long, I'll wear them anyways.

Have a great day!
