Default Ok, NOW I'm getting anxious

I had a letter earlier this week about pre-paying the surgeon, that was okay. Yesterday I got the letter from the anesthesiologist about paying for his/her part. It's sitting on my dining room table. I've been getting vitamins, small dishes, the exercise ball thing.. and none of it made it seem as real as the "pay by" date on the anesthesiologist letter - April 16.. because then it's only 7 more days until the surgery.

I've had the money for the surgery sitting in a stock market account and now I have to transfer it over to a regular account... and there are a thousand thoughts I have and I'm starting to get scared.. I have to get my work squared away, bills, housekeeping,

AHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm freaking out a bit.

Can I freak out a little with you? We're having surgery on the same date, only 21 days to go. But wow, you've lost so much weight! How did you do it?

Most of the weight loss was from a supervised diet... plus getting on byetta for my diabetes helped a lot... now I'm headed into the two week all liquid protein phase in a week

how are you doing w/ the countdown?

Funny how the money part makes it seem real even though you are buying all of your little accessories, huh? Freaking is normal...just try to stay calm knowing you have done everything you know to prepare so that you can just come home and relax after. Healing will be your job

woohooo! you are getting so close!! So can i ask are you all self pay or is your insurance picking any of it up? I just think its so unfair that some insurances wont pay

thanks for the words of encouragement

I'm paying privately - our insurance has a clause specifically stating that NOTHING regarding weight loss, for ANY reason is covered EVER (forever and ever amen )

yeah this is 'spensive but I think that in part the insurance thing is b/c people don't work for the same company for years or a lifetime anymore so they aren't so inclined to look at long term solutions that are pricey up front...

anyway.. random blather..

thanks again

also.. part of my anxiety is that I am trying to front load as much as possible (prior to surgery) to get caught up on all my paperwork, have all my ducks in a row so that I don't go into this with any excess baggage.. makes me looking forward to AND dreading the "big day"

lol

*breathing in... breathing out*
